For more than ten years, I have been involved in communications and marketing, with experience on the client and the corporate side, with civic and not-for-profit organizations.

Based in Orlando, I spent over eight years negotiating strategic partnerships and executing custom multimedia marketing and advertising campaigns for the Orlando Sentinel. I have worked with major clients including Universal Orlando, Walt Disney World, the NFL, DreamWorks Pictures and the Orlando Magic. While at the Sentinel, I focused on the Entertainment, Sports, Attractions, Retail and National Automotive Categories, achieving $1+ million in annual incremental revenue. I worked closely with the sales, marketing, editorial, operations, production, circulation and retention departments. My role included executing new product launches, sales kick-offs and specialized training sessions to sales and marketing staff. In addition to working at the media headquarters, I also functioned as Marketing Consultant, directing marketing efforts for sales teams in three Satellite media bureaus in Volusia, Seminole and Osceola counties.

While working full-time at the Sentinel, I returned to school and obtained my Masters in Corporate Communications and Technology at Rollins College. This supplemented my University of South Florida Bachelors in Communications, and fueled my fascination in web design and e-communications.

After my tenure at the Sentinel, I spent time with the Winter Park Chamber of Commerce, handling events and communications, and executed its largest ever election-year political Hob Nob. I then joined Orlando Regional Healthcare and coordinated marketing, community relations, speaking engagements and fundraising efforts for The Howard Phillips Center for Children & Families. In one year, I raised over $235,000 in new funds and in-kind donations for the government funded, social service agency through special events, grants and donations. My proudest accomplishment was spearheading receipt of the 2007 Sapphire Award of Distinction from the Blue Foundation (Blue Cross Blue Shield of Florida), for the HUG-Me program’s groundbreaking achievements in the prevention of perinatal HIV/AIDS transmission.

Prior to Orlando, I lived in South Florida, where I worked in travel/tourism operations at the corporate offices of Alamo Rent A Car, radio sales with Paxson Communications and Marlin Broadcasting, and on the inaugural staff of the Air & Sea Show, a national patriotic event that ran 13 years, with over 50 major participating sponsors and over 1 million in annual attendance.

Those who know me well insist I am extremely creative, energetic, an exceptional task “juggler,” and very resourceful. That is, if I can’t do it, I will find a way or a person that will. I’m also quite adaptive, likely due to my global upbringing as a State Department brat. My homes and travels include Washington DC, Washington State, Missouri and Rome, Italy, where I spoke fluent Italian and explored surrounding cities and countries on weekends.
